I'm just wondering how Buck got her on the roster, and why she's starting at DH.

It's very unclear - this happened to me at the start of the season. Do NOT pay for At Bat if you already pay for MLB.tv. Download the free At Bat Lite and then log in - it converts itself to the pay version without charging you further.
Also, the TV feed works on my older (2.3) Android phone but not a much newer (3.1) tablet. Stupid Android fragmentation.
The ad says 10 different camera angles, I'm only counting 6. I'm hoping the "high home" is the angle that shows the entire infield. It would be really cool to have the camera angle that shows the defensive positioning during the game (I honestly don't think fox sports midwest has that option ever, it seems like they almost never show it, when it's arguably the single best camera angle for replays to show off the defense.)
I think more angles are added later. No reason to see the dugouts, for example, before the game itself.
On my app I've got the score in the top left and then on the right a little icon to see the box score, 3 little dots that allow me to see other scores and a tv icon that...well it doesn't seem to do anything right now. I'm hopeful that will allow me to change views as the game progresses.
SF doesn't play tonight.....
Sorry, low hanging fruit and all....
;-)
They aren't showing anything right now (at least on my phone). All I've got is a note telling me that the event will begin shortly.
And I'm with the Fish. As gimmicky as this is it's basically two Game Sevens in one day. Someone's season is going to end today and particularly with the AL game it's two teams that it will be really crushing for I think.
If the O's win, send me Primer Mail.
It would be more crushing for the Rangers, as they were, y'know, supposed to be the best AL team since the 1990s, or something. The Orioles would be crushing, but not jump-off-a-bridge level.
Bobby Cox ref [ X]
Yep, nothing showing yet, but I'm somewhat giddy with the concept of being able to choose the camera angles.
I have pretty much supported this format since about a month after it was proposed, I had to be convinced, but ultimately I think it's the best format as far as compromise can go. You can never satisfy the traditionalists of course, but this strengthens winning the division, it even helps the wild card team that easily wins the wild card(like the Braves) in that they can give themselves their best pitcher for this one game format. Yes there are always going to be years that you might not have an exciting finish, but that has always been the case, in the pre-wildcard days you might be lucky to get one race a year, in the pre-divisional days, some seasons September was just a waste of everyone's time(see 1968) At the same time you have to balance it out so that there is some teams going home disappointed.
Don't think the Orioles would be crushing at all. They have exceeded every expectation and should be happy as heck. Of course every team that loses will be crushed in a way of course, but I don't think that the Orioles will be particularly crushed.
Gotta mess with this. I think Quad View is the winner just because of the options. Not sure what the bottom right option on that view is but the guy running it got into someone's whiskey collection early.
With the Cardinals offense in September, that would be 10 runs more than needed.
I agree but I think it would be a bit empty to go through all they went through, make the playoffs and then play one road game and be done. You're right, they should be playing with house money but I think the format changes that. It would have to suck after 15 years to not even get a single home game.
"New York, New York." "Sweet Caroline."
I used to hate but you know, they've stuck with it for 20+ years now and if it annoys opposing teams and fans good for them.
That depends, is the name of Washington's NFL team a tradition?
"New York, New York." "Sweet Caroline."
And there's your top three.
I am ashamed of myself. The rust isn't all gone yet, I guess.
Rebooted the computer, I hadn't turned it off in several days, so figured it was just some type of file problem.
This guy in the bottom right corner on the quad view is going to make me sick.... Stop zooming in all the time.
I don't understand why I can't pay a fee and stream what they're showing on TBS.
As I mentioned above, use a VPN or something similar
You can mute the tv broadcast, then bring up gameday and choose the radio broadcast from there if you want. That is what I'm doing.
Braves fans thought Skip Caray(or Chip, whichever one was on TBS for years) wasn't one of the worse broadcasters in history....not sure your opinion matters here.
Skip was on TBS for years and was good. Chip is the bad one.
Skip Caray was awesome when the Braves were awful. His sarcasm was virtually unmatched.

If I was a Reds fan, I would be whining about the time out :)
Let's see, if the umpire does his job correctly---he doesn't call time when the pitcher has already started his motion---then it's a 0-0 game after two.
Instead, the ump gaffes and now it's 2-0 Braves.
It was pretty much the exact same pitch that struck him out on the previous timeout. Not sure why he went back to the same pitch. It's never going to work twice in a row.
McCann on bench [X]
Bottom line, the umpire's decision to call time after Lohse began his wind-up affected the results of the game, one way or the other.
Cardsfanboy- I actually just rewound to check the location of the two change ups. The first one was a good one- down and on the corner of the plate. The second one was up and over the plate. If you throw the change twice in a row, the second one better be a quality pitch.
No. Because that would be ridiculous. It's only happened twice ever. Why the hell would I put a no-hitter on the list. Oh, right... because baseball is weird.
