win, though for Taiwan the real test is if they can beat the other 2 team, from a roster POV Korea is missing a lot of it's best player too so I think the chances are pretty solid.

Will be strumming my guitar and watching the 5 AM game. Wang's delivery looked very fluid. Think the radar gun was off. He was probably throwing 88-90. Could make a decent number four on plenty of teams. Padres should take a look.

I can hear the MLB people sweating in NYC. If Brazil wins this game, Japan will have to beat Cuba to advance to round two. Given how bad attendance has been in non-Japan games in past WBCs, a second-round in Tokyo without Japan would be bad for the TV cameras, although perhaps good for baseball in general, since presumably beating Japan would give Brazilian baseball a huge boost.

Still, a looooooooong way to go.

it would really really be something if Japan gets burned by Brazil. But looking at it, Japan is kinda entering a awkward period where their biggest stars are either done or close to done, and the new generation haven't quite caught up yet... still, that doesn't mean they should lose to Brazil.
