How will Led Zeppelin lose today
   2. Man o' Schwar Posted: October 25, 2017 at 02:06 PM (#5561946)
For tonight's game, I'm going to choose 2 Omnichatter threads, and then give a JD Powers Award to the one that's more dependable.

But before Man o' Schwar presents the award, let's take time out for this brief message from one of our sponsors.

Tonight's JD Powers Award-eligible Omnichatter is brought to you by Orville. What happens when the Family Guy guy gets tired of drawing and wants more people to recognize him when he goes to the Olive Garden? Orville happens. Only on Fox.
   6. PreservedFish Posted: October 25, 2017 at 02:28 PM (#5561968)
The LA organist keeps playing the Game of Thrones theme. I don't really get it, just sounds weird.

I hate these so much. And I have to say, Joe Buck doesn't sound thrilled about them either. There's an edge in his voice. I feel like there's a FOX executive threatening him in his earpiece.

I picture the scene from the Simpsons where Burns monetizes the church and Lovejoy is relucant to introduce the Noid to give a sermon about deliciousness. "Trust me, he'll say it or I'll bust him down to Thursday night vespers!"

I must say that I would enjoy FOX advertising a lot more if I knew for certain it involved physical threats against Joe Buck.

That's THE Orville to you, buddy. In the end there can be only one. One hopes.

How long before we have layers of sponsors attached to everything, "Now, the Miss Jessie's Chicken Ranch player of the inning presented by Acticin sponsored by Joe's Crab Shack.

Well, Infinite Jest "predicted" that we'd be naming the years by now. In its universe, the Yankees would have been your Year of the Depends Adult Undergarment World Champs.

I'm a huge Dodger fan, but even if they win the World Series, 2017 still sucks.

This whole Westeros Series is a joke... just unlikable Martin characters !

   19. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: October 25, 2017 at 08:05 PM (#5562203)
Paisley is one of those big truck, cold beer, hot girl and awesome guitar dudes ?

Priceless anthem !

The funny thing is, this pitch is still not going to take as long as some of them during the game.

Is Piazza not on speaking terms with the Dodgers or something?
   33. Tony S Posted: October 25, 2017 at 08:15 PM (#5562218)
Fernando looks great.

Steve Yeager doesn't look bad, but given that I hadn't laid eyes on him since he was an active ballplayer, he's aged a lot.

As have I.

Go Astros! Let's try not to swing at so many first pitches this time...
   34. Nose army. Beef diaper? (CoB) Posted: October 25, 2017 at 08:15 PM (#5562219)
Vin ####### Scully!

[edit] I'm getting old ... or, it's getting really dusty in here ...

   46. Tony S Posted: October 25, 2017 at 08:26 PM (#5562237)
Well, that inning died quickly after a promising start...

At least McCann holds onto the ball when a runner is within 90 feet of him and trying to score.
Of course a large part of your argument quoted the ever reliable framing stats in small sample size also so there was that....
