From a non-Tigers fan perspective, it seems like that should be, "The Tigers have swept the Yankees, and are going to the World Series!" And that's assuming they don't come back to win the Series, of coure.

This deserves a check. They showed Miggy slamming his bat after the pop up last inning but it was so slow it showed his arm move about three inches.

You know, if the layoff really is what's killing the Tigers (which isn't something one can really say with certainty, but that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone), then it lends a lot of support to the Giants' decision not to bring back Cabrera.
I still like it better than 2007.
