World Series GAME 3 OMNICHATTER

Enough resting and traveling! Time for more baseball! Can the Giants take a commanding 3-0 lead, or will Detroit once again find what lurks in the eye of the Tiger?

If you are going to do the cross promotion, do it. Myers was acting like a douche in making fun of the whole thing and asking the guy if he was paying for it out of his own pocket.

Maybe he thinks as little of it as do the posters here.

And i agree with the posters. My point is if you think it is a big joke, don't agree to do the in-game interview

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: hearing Dan Dickerson say "Tigers threaten but do not score" is likely to be the epitaph on this season.

Crawford is the guy I've really learned to appreciate this post season, he seems like a very good defensive shortstop.

Crawford has a great arm. Those throws to first are like laser beams

From a non-Tigers fan perspective, it seems like that should be, "The Tigers have swept the Yankees, and are going to the World Series!" And that's assuming they don't come back to win the Series, of coure.

His eyes are indeed two different colors. It's some kind of disease but I don't think it affects his vision. It's pretty freaky to look at though.

Those are his eyes. You think he would wear a contact, but more power to him if he's comfortable with it.

I don't mind the eyes, but his constant use of "uh..." and "you know" was grating.

Thanks, Fox, I had no interest in watching a Tiger inning featuring Cabrera, Fielder and Young anyway.

I don't think heterochromia is a "disease" anymore than being left-handed or having red hair. It's just the way he is, genetically.

Maybe it's because we've alkyd about it so much but it's glaring the way FOX simply refuses to show an angle with more than one player in the shot. The experience of seeing a game like this is really frustrating.

The Giants hitters sometime react as if the "breaking ball" is an illegal pitch.

I thought that a snow cone was when the ball hits the top of the webbing and stays in. That was more of an inverted clown cone (NAA).

In unrelated pretend baseball news, my Strat team played an epic NLDS Game Seven (after coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the series). I normally wouldn't do this, but game seven really was amazing.

If you care, here it is:

You are right, a sno-cone is when it is coming out the top. Didn't know the term for one coming out the bottom, other than "crowning"
   130. cardsfanboy Posted: October 27, 2012 at 09:52 PM (#4285408)

I'm with the earlier poster, that said he is rooting for the Tigers the next three games. I'm rooting for a 6 game series at the minimum, but don't have a preference for the World Series, usually I just root for the team from the National League (unless it's the Mess)

The more I watch the broadcast, the more I realize that Fox is horrible at broadcasting baseball. We are focusing close ups of the batters hands, and the pitchers flaring nostrils, but nothing that has shown us the runners on base(oops, just did it for almost a second).

Visiting team distracts home team's defense by piledriving the home team's mascot. Home team is so stunned by this that they concede a 99 yard TD run on a HB draw.

You know, if the layoff really is what's killing the Tigers (which isn't something one can really say with certainty, but that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone), then it lends a lot of support to the Giants' decision not to bring back Cabrera.

Jesus this is the most boring World Series ever.

I still like it better than 2007.

With the 1B diving towards the infield, why in the name of the baseball gods would you dive into first as a batter-runner? Just run as fast as your butt will carry you instead of losing speed by diving. Stupid.

Shouldn't there be a five-minute rant about how sliding into first is a bad idea?

(EDIT: I meant from the announcers!)

Had he run through the base rather than slide, he might have gotten the safe call.

Would the ump have missed the call if Blanco hadn't slid for no good reason?

I assume that if the Yankees had somehow gotten to the World Series, they'd have lost the first two games 2 to -4, and 8 to -1.

It's like some sort of hitting virus has worked it's way from Texas to Baltimore to New York to Detroit.
