World Series Roster: Mark Lowe in, Clay Rapada out

They turned around and gave that big LOOGY a smack
They finalized the roster
Next thing you know
Texas got Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe

The Rangers have finalized their World Series roster, with Mark Lowe being activated and added to the bullpen, and Clay Rapada being de-activated.

... Rapada had been added to the ALCS roster for the purpose of shutting down Robinson Cano, and given that Rapada didn’t do that, and the Giants don’t have a real lefty-heavy group, he figured to be dropped.

This is good news. I had him confused with Clay Zavada, so every time he came into a game I was disappointed with his non-outlandish facial hair.

Lowe pitched appeared in 3 G and pitched 3 innings for the Rangers this year. I wonder if that is a record for "Least regular season usage by a player on a World Series roster."

K-Rod had 5 G, 5.2 IP for 2002 Angels.

Seth Smith appeared in just 7 G for Colorado in 2007 but made the WS roster.

Mark Kiger appeared in 2 games for the A's in the 2006 ALCS and he had never (and still hasn't) appeared in a regular season game.
