Yankees’ Errors Help Patchwork Sox Emerge With Split

Valentine said he told Ciriaco on Friday night that he would start at shortstop, and then gave him another pep talk on Saturday.

“We were in the bathroom together, and I talked to him a little,” he said. “I think it went just fine.”

Well, given how well that encounter went, Valentine may use the bathroom for all his important meetings if he is a bit superstitious.

When reached about Valentine's comments, Ciriaco was confused.

"I didn't see [Valentine] in the bathroom," Ciriaco insisted. After pausing and thinking for a moment, Circao went on to say, "I did talk to this funny looking dude with glasses and a mustache in there though."
