Yankees push home streak over Jays to 17

Toronto’s Yankee Stadium skid, which started in September 2012, is the longest for a team at one opponent since Tampa Bay lost 18 in a row in Cleveland from September 2005 to July 2010, according to STATS.

AL East records for July:

Rays 14-4
Balt 14-6
Yanks 13-8
Bost 9-11
Jays 9-11

Taken as a whole, the AL East has gone 59-40 since June 30th. They're not the pushovers they were a month ago.

Ah, but you didn't notice the inside job as Canadian Jeff Francis served up the 3-run HR that secured the win for the Blue Jays today.
Without it, the Yankees would have won on Beltran's 2-run HR in the bottom of the 9th.
