1. Der_K Posted: March 27, 2012 at 10:19 PM (#4090780)Don Mattingly named his child Preston? That seems weird to me. Not exactly a scrappy name.
Better than "Koby" or "Kody" or "Kory" or "Kozy" or "Kony" or "Gunner" or "Hunter" or "Tanner" or "Cutter".
Exactly. Sometimes letting the wife name the kid is a good idea. Otherwise, my son might have been named Clemente or Mario or Bettis or Ward or something like that.
Given the apparent grasp of the HOF voting rules by the people who do the voting, this would not surprise me in the least.
Mario or Ward would be okay. At least those are respectable names, unlike Braden and McKenzie.
Nope. Gunner is an awesome name.
It's an appalling misspelling of the badass Viking name "Gunnar". Even Ricky Nelson didn't manage to #### it up like Papelbon did.
Words evolve, disirregardless of whether or not you want them to, you language Nazi!
In my (limited) personal experience it is the wife who is more likely to prefer some silly new-fangled while the husband lobbies for a more normal John, Michael, Brian, ect.
