Yankees Team Bus Hits Gate at Fenway Park

There must have been no men on the gate at the time.

Tuesday was a bad day all around for the Yankees and even after the game, Fenway Park was full of drama.

After losing to the Red Sox, New York saw its one-game lead in the division vanish, thanks to a victory by the Baltimore Orioles over Tampa Bay. As if that wasn’t enough, the team ran into some trouble attempting to leave Fenway Park.

While the Yankees team bus was pulling out of a Fenway parking lot, the driver of the bus crashed into a gate protecting the entrance and broke a window on its side. A bystander tweeted out a picture of the event, and a NESN employee at the scene confirmed the story.

I can't imagine there are harder places to park a bus than some thin strip somewhere within the curtilage of Fenway Park, having no knowledge of what this space looks like.

"Is Fenway a hall of famer even if it was hit by a bus today?"

Well, at least they finally hit something.

#2, am I showing my age by suggesting that looks like the Partridge family bus?

As a Red Sox fan I have had very little to enjoy regarding this season, today made me smile...the bus incident is icing on the cake.

the redsox bus has been harmless since the wheels came off last september.

There's no truth to the rumor that the new security guard at that gate will be John Lackey.

As a man who once, ummm, collided with a hotel, I ahall not cast aspersions at the driver.

A hotel? Hmmm...think I'll take a cab.

In writing workshop we would say this metaphor is "too on point". Try harder not to be so cliche Yankees.

Romney mourns the fate of bus, wonders why no one is thinking of it.
Obama calls for expanded BusCare.

The hotel should have looked both ways before crossing, and have it's children taken away!
