2007 ZiPS Memorial Day Roster Update

This is the spreadsheet - still a couple manager profiles to do on the DMB disk itself (will make note in this entry). No 2007 stats are taken into account into these projections, any difference is due to definite role changes (paging Mr. Papelbon). There are about 50 new projections as well.

This is very exciting- but since I am an idiot, I forget how to load this into my DMB. I'm sure there are directions on the site- can anyone send me a link? A corresponding insult with it is just fine.

The disk part isn't uploaded yet - finishing up the profiles tonight after BBQ.

to install the disk, save it to your hard drive, and then simply go to the dm program, hit the file section in the upper left, then restore, and click on where ever you saved the file. works easiest if you originally save it to the c:dmb file.

If you were incorporating to-date 2007 stats and trying to project the rest of 2007, what weighting do you give to the 2007 stats, and what weight to the before-2007-started projections?

I've been doing the simple Games/162 weight to the 2007 stats, which is probably a little high.

Got tied up with something else - this has not been my year.

If you were incorporating to-date 2007 stats and trying to project the rest of 2007, what weighting do you give to the 2007 stats, and what weight to the before-2007-started projections?

When I do in-season projections, which I'm honestly not too crazy about, I pretend that the season is over, do the normal weighting, and then apply a percentage of the season to affect the weighting. I'm working on a more mathematically "accurate" method.

I'm sorry to hear it. I'm sure I speak for the lion's share of BTF members when I remind you that you present us with massive amounts of free data, and therefore if there is a delay in the presentation of said data, we are more than understanding.

Speaking purely for myself, I am disappointed that the delay wasn't caused by a three day bacchanalia of burgers.

I miss playing DMB with ZIPS projections. No two ways about it.

SG does have one with the rosters that he used for the seasonal sims.

Doing the profiles in-season is a real nightmare - it's way too much to do in a couple days and every time I finish one profile, another one needs to be drastically changed.
