Phillies - Signed AGon

Philadelphia Phillies - Signed SS-3B Alex Gonzalez to a 1-year, $750,000 contract.

While Gonzalez is a decent backup player, there’s no reason the Phillies need David Bell, Abraham Nunez, and Classic Original A-Gon. Gonzalez will be miscast in 2006 as a middling pinch-hitter.
