Houston Astros - Signed IF Geoff Blum to a 1-year contract worth $1.1 million.
I’m having trouble thinking what would be worse. That Ed Wade signed Geoff Blum because he didn’t bother to find out who he was or that Ed Wade signed Geoff Blum knowing who he was? Steady Eddie Wade has stumbled upon the newest market inefficiency: players that don’t do anything well, but sorta look like they’re versatile for press releases. This signing frees up Chris Burke for Wade to package with Luke Scott to acquire Dennis Lamp or someone.
