Banning Bob Sheppard

There’s an article now about how the Yankees could utilize text-to-speech technology in order to keep Bob Sheppard announcing Yankee lineups long after his eventual death. I think it’s a bad idea and I’ve put together an audio package demonstrating why we shouldn’t do it.

Hmm... this technology could be useful for Fox Sports. Stephen Hawking's voice would be more pleasant to listen to in October than Tim McCarver and would sound more engaged in the action than Joe Buck.

And Dan's audioclip has confirmed what I long suspected: the continued playing of Mienkrapvic at 1B would eventually cause the collapse of Western Civilization.
