Blue Jays - Signed Sea Bass

Toronto Blue Jays - Signed SS Sea Bass Gonzalez to a 1-year, $2.75 million contract.

Too bad he’s not a veritable god of defense and that 2007 isn’t representative of his offensive talents. Like the Buck signing, this is a 73-89 signing for a 73-89 team. In the AL East, intentionally playing Gonzalez is like throwing a potato at a tank. Given that the Jays are very strong contenders for last place, probably the favorite, they might as well just sign a random minor leaguer for all the good it will do them and keep the $3 million.

I got you all beat! My lovely wife slept with Alex Gonzalez on an episode of the Newsroom. If by "Alex Gonzalez" you mean, that other guy named Alex Gonzalez, and by "lovely wife" you mean the intern on The Newsroom that I had a crush on.
