Cardinals - Acquired Jorge Sosa

St. Louis Cardinals - Acquired P Jorge Sosa from the Atlanta Braves for P Rich Scalamandre.

A boring trade in a fun day, even without Soriano or Tejada trades.

The Cardinals needed pitching help before this trade.  They still do.

The Salamander will be appearing on Minor League Free Agent Lists near you!

This trade is not boring for Braves fans. That I'll never have to see Sosa in a Braves uniform again is a very comforting thought.

Hey, at worst, Sosa is still a better pinch-hitting option than Aaron Miles.

I guess this pretty much wraps up the NL pennant race.

Excluding Lidge games.

Yes, yes it is.

Well, considering that Eddie Gaedel (when he was, you know, alive) would have been a better pinch-hitting option than any other player who has ever played major league baseball, this is not a real effective way of insulting Miles.

Yeah, sasquatch83 beat me to that joke in the other thread. He probably executed it better as well.
