Dodgers - Activated Werth

Los Angeles Dodgers - Activated OF Jayson Werth from the 15-day DL; optioned OF Jason Repko.

Repko’s amassed a little cult following, but simply put, he was one of the weakest members of the offense despite some early-season heroics, especially when you consider he got more than half his at-bats against lefties. Werth is a better player than Jason Repko, so that’s a plus, but it comes down to the fact that the Dodgers are going to have to sport a historically great offense in order to win with a 4.84 team ERA.

Jason will be back once he calls himself Jayson.

So do we think Jayson will be platooning with Leeddee (sp?) or is he going to play LF all by his one some?

The Dodgers have more guys on their roster that I have never heard of than I would expect from a pretty good team.

Who knows, but last night may have provided a clue, with Ledee on the bench despite a RH starting pitcher.

Repko was called "a Gold Glove caliber outfielder" by Jim Tracy upon being sent down. I can't really say I disagree. Repko looks like he has 4 tremendous tools -- everything except batting average.

Rauseo, the spelling you're looking for is "Lady".

The Dodgers are not a pretty good team. Their record is inflated from a 12-2 start. Most of the year they have played well below .500

I was gonna say,.....ARE the Dodgers a "pretty good team?"

Which team in the NL West is clearly better than the Dodgers?

The problem is that you can make this argument for almost any team.

"The Padres are not a pretty good team. Their record is inflated by their 15-2 run in May. Most of the year they have played well below .500."

"The Diamondbacks are not a pretty good team. They are only above .500 because of their 9-2 run a few weeks ago."

"The Orioles are not a pretty good team. If not for their 11-2 run, they would be in 4th place, ahead of only the Devil Rays."

"The Cardinals are not a pretty good team. If they hadn't gone 12-1 a few weeks ago, they'd be way behind the Brewers."
