Giants - Signed Bonds

San Francisco Giants - Signed OF Barry Bonds to a 1-year contract.

Almost automatic - the Giants had no choice here.  The Giants are essentially screwed either way, but given a choice between an awful team with Bonds and an awful team without Bonds, you have to pick the choice that gives people a reason to come to the stadium.  If you see a gambling site anywhere that takes future bets for worst team in baseball, I’d put some dough down on the Giants - Brian Sabean’s done a horrific job building the future of the Giants.

As for Bonds?  He’s Bonds.  Is there anything that I could say here that hasn’t been debated to death?  Bonds will hit a lot when he’s healthy and when he’s not, the Giants will be a joke.
