Indians - Signed Graves, Karsay

Cleveland Indians - Signed P Danny Graves and P Steve Karsay to minor-league contracts.

As these are minor-league deals, there’s very little risk attached.  I don’t expect Graves to be very good and I don’t expect Karsay to be very healthy, which kind of limits their utility to the Indians.  I think I’d still rather have John Smiley than the former.

First!
I'm so excited about these signings.
It feels like the first time.

Like it never felt before?

I've no good reason for believing this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Graves managed a mini-comeback at some point in time. Did he get away from using his sinker after he returned to the pen, that might help explain the decline in his G/F rate and explosive rise in his HR/9. Man, Miami was churning out good relievers for a time there (whither Jay Tessmer?)...

Mike Neu?

Not to be confused with Mike Neu, or even Gary Gnu.
