Mariners - Acquired Davis

Seattle Mariners - Acquired P Jason Davis from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named.

As I was criticizing the Indians for early this spring - due to roster considerations, it’s possible to be too deep at times and it’s in your best interest to trade a player for value when you want to rather than when you have to.  And that’s how it worked out for the Indians this time, with the 2 weak spots in the bullpen now being veterans with guaranteed deals and everyone demote-able on the team pitching really well, they’re forced to make the difficult decision to either be forced to trade Davis, demote a pitcher that’s pitching well, or have to look silly publicly and eat a veteran contract before the halfway point of May.

But, a ray of sunshine comes from above as Buzzie Bavasi’s Other Idiot Son reaches out to the Indians.  Maybe now, they’ll end up with Adam Jones or Chris Tillman.  After all, Babble-on Billy not only has never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express but I doubt he can spell it.
