Florida Marlins - Placed P Antonio Alfonseca on the 15-day DL; recalled P Travis Smith.

In another Championship Decision, Alfonseca didn’t tell the Marlin medical staff about the pain in his elbow.  It’s one thing when a marginal prospect doesn’t want to speak up for fear of being labelled sissy-boy, but Proven Veteran Millionaire Dudes© should be a little more responsible.  The Marlins’ bullpen has been unbelievable this season (as has their rotation), so the magic pixie dust should work on Trav Smith, who won’t be leaned on heavily while he’s on the team.
