Phillies - Signed Eaton

Philadelphia Phillies - Signed P Adam Eaton to a 3-year, $24 million contract.

What’s worse?  Acquiring Adam Eaton because you got him confused with Jake Peavy or signing Adam Eaton when you know he’s Adam Eaton?

If I sign a mediocre starting pitcher, I at least want him to eat some innings.  Eaton’s averaged 125 innings since his major league debut and has never thrown 200 innings.  What’s the point of overpaying for a mediocre starter if I’m going to have to replace him for 2 months?

I’d like this signing if Eaton were good for 180 innings a year.  Pass.
