White Sox - Signed Wilson
Chicago White Sox - Signed 1B/OF Craig Wilson to a minor-league contract.
Remember last November when it seemed like the organization felt they had scored too many runs in 2006? How’d that work out for them? The rotation has been rocking the free world and the Sox are still fighting it out with the Twins to avoid the Most Disappointing AL Central Team label. Wilson has not seemed to thrive when being used part-time, so he could certainly help out a team with leftfielders that have combined to hit 233/327/340 this season, not numbers to be proud of. Then again, the team and the whole city of Chicago also seem to think that the Pale Hose have been missing Scott Podsednik. My guess? Craig Wilson will spend the summer in Charlotte for no particular reason along with Josh Fields. Speaking of Josh Fields, did the White Sox miss the boat on selling Joe Crede high or what? Of course, I could be wrong - I completely misread what the Twins would do with Scott Baker.

1. NBarnes Posted: May 29, 2007 at 09:08 AM (#2382300)I might be the only Sox fan in the world who thought that the Sox should have traded Joe Crede about a year ago. His bad back is going to prevent him from ever being a consistently good ballplayer.
i certainly don't think they miss Pods....
IF anything they are missing his "magical" 2005 year. I know quite a few who are off of him after last year. NOw if he was playing the first half of 2005 they would love him.
