Yankees - DLed Sierra

New York Yankees - Placed DH Ruben Sierra on the 15-day DL with a bicep boo-boo; called up 1B Andy Phillips.

Sierra’s been done for more a dozen years, but the Yankees have never cared that he’s been a contributor only once since 1992, so it’s not like they’re going to care now.  Andy Phillips, who would be a Ken Phelpser if he wasn’t a godawful second baseman, is a serviceable backup/emergency 1B and should get almost no playing time with the team.
