Regression for Adrian Beltre, but still some fine numbers.
But look how Steve Finley falls off the cliff!

No doubt... Finley looks terrible. And with the reports on his defense, I hope the Giants don't go anywhere near him.

Biggio is done too, it seems.

Finley's projection is skewed because he's going to be 40; he might hit a wall, but he didn't at 39, and he's in great shape.

Does ZiPS simply put in a wall at certain ages? I can't remember what Bonds's projection was last year, but I would like to see where he projects.

I'm fairly new to BTF, can someone fill me in on ZiPS? In a nutshell, how accurrate is it and how are the numbers generated?

I realize Backe hasn't been outstanding, but a 5.40ERA? He had some pretty nice periphs last year.
