Besides Gleeman and Jaffe's 10 Things I learned at SABR 40 have there been any other write ups?

Start making your plans now.

At lunchtime today, I actually looked at Kayak or Orbitz for flights to LAX (or Burbank, or Ontario, or John Wayne, or Long Beach, or ...). I want to look at the Padres schedule too, in case they'll be at home immediately before or after SABR41. I'd love to add not one (Anaheim) but two (Petco) ballparks to my lifelist.

PS. Great to see you again, Mike, as always. Also, Andy McCue confirmed to me that the official schedule for SABR41 will show the BTF Chapter meeting in the hotel bar at midnight Saturday.

Here's a couple Mike...

Tomahawk Take - Atlanta Plays Host to SABR 40 Convention.

Cecilia Tan blogged the whole convention - SABR 40.

Awesome.

Indeed she did, and it really helped at the encore presentation of Ross Davies's Doug Pappas Award-winning work. Ross had left Atlanta by then, but Cecilia used her extensive notes on his presentation, along with the PowerPoint slides that I'd loaded, to demonstrate the correctness of the decision by the SABR40 judges.

BTW, I'll send the PowerPoints to the SABR office in a few days. In addition, I may put some of the really good ones in a web location I control, so that they can be examined ASAP.

I will have a recap here is work stops choking me for being away for the last week.

There will be a write-up on Seamheads.com Wednesday or Thursday from all of the Seamheads writers that attended.

I basically had to more or less disappear from the convention for reasons beyond my control. The free time that I expected to have available went away in a blizzard of work-related issues. That's my life right now. (It didn't help that my cell phone, which I forgot to silence, went off in the middle of Treder's presentation...)

I will be writing a recap for here as well, whenever time permits.

Damn, SABR finally comes to LA and I'll probably be out of SoCal by then.

I'm too bad of a writer to write a full recap, but I could write up a brief synopsis of my trip.

It didn't help that my cell phone, which I forgot to silence, went off in the middle of Treder's presentation...

That was the last time I saw you. I assumed Treder had you "taken care of".

The AJC writeup is one of the nicer ones I have seen from the main stream media about a convention.

That was the last time I saw anybody at the convention, other than Susan on Saturday morning.
