The Philadelphia Athletics beat the Cubs 4 games to 1 in the World Series.

The Kansas City Monarchs were the best team in the Negro National League winning both halves of the schedule. The Baltimore Black Sox did the same in the one season of the American Negro League.

Sox Therapy: The Perfect Schedule - Games 91-100

The Sox hit triple digits here at they run their record to 100-0!  This series includes arguably the most iconic regular season game in club history which is a shame in some way because that punted Nomar’s 3 homer birthday party against Tampa off the list.

Game 91 - 2014 - Other Sox 4 at Sox 5 - It’s weird the things you remember.  White Sox starter Chris Sale shut down the Good Sox for 7 innings.  In the 8th down 4-0 rookie Mookie Betts singled to shortstop but was hustling all the way ...

Sox Therapy: Warning: Actual Baseball Content

With the Sox supposedly and hopefully getting spring training going on Wednesday I suppose some random thoughts on the coming season are appropriate.  Like many of you I find myself befuddled by quite a bit.  Who is healthy, how do the rosters (especially the taxi squads) work, is this a good idea, is the full 60 game season going to be played?  There is just a lot I don’t know and from what I’ve seen on the various interweb searches I’ve done uncertainty is the name of the game.  So ...

Sox Therapy: The Perfect Schedule - Games 81-90

The perfect schedule continues apace with the Sox running their record to 90-0.

Game 81 - 2008 - Sox 5 at Diamondbacks 0 - One of the reasons I love baseball is that there are so many ways to play the game.  This is a classic matchup, Tim Wakefield the ultimate soft tosser against Randy Johnson the classic fireballer.  Timmeh got the better of this matchup thanks in part to a three run tater by Kevin Cash.
Game 82 - 1998 - Expos 0 at Sox 15 - The Expos got a dose of what they had been serving ...

Sox Therapy: The Perfect Schedule - Games 71-80

Onto games 71 through 80 of the perfect schedule.  The Sox go to 80-0 but it was close as game 77 was the game where Pokey Reese made a spectacular catch while crashing into the wall at Yankee stadium and former Red Sox John Flaherty had a walk off double but I decided the Mariner victory was better.

Game 71 - 1994 - Sox 10 at Brewers 8 - What started as a pitchers’ duel exploded into life.  The Brewers scored 4 in the 6th to go up 5-2 but the Sox got a run in the 7th and 5 in the 8th with ...
