I’m rooting for the Ducks because of Scott Niedermeyer, and I hate the Avalanche.

duckies are looking GOOD!!!  Ilya is my hero.  Scott Niedermyer has stepped it up for the playoffs, he is everywhere doing everything which is one of the reason Ilya has all those scoreless minutes in goal, and Scott ain’t getting the recognition.

Avs are being jinxed by their own announcers…They called Joffrey Lupul “Jeffrey”. 

I sure hope tonite the announcer continue with “Jeffrey”.

The boys finally got themselves an opponents for the next round… Edmonton.  We have been off for a week so hopefully they can get the rust out of the gas can before the 2nd inning, but the Duckies have been strong in the 2nd all playoffs.  If they can keep the penalty killing going they will do good.

That mayhem story is about how two women had a cart and on top of cart tried to pretend it was Marti Gras and some guys’ fireworks hit their cart and they fell down.

Long Beach Press Telegram is terrible in their coverage of the Duckies, but they had them losing in the 1st round, quickly, so I guess they feel their work is done. The LATimes have been good about having some really good articles every day, I especially like Helene Elliott’s analysis.

Those puns in canada will make for some good trash talk to spur our guys on, I sure hope. Plus all this counting their chickens (Ducks?) before they hatch is like talking about a no-hitter.
