Planning an efficient baseball road trip

I have a personal hobby of working on visiting as many different major and minor league ballparks as possible.  Over the last couple years I’ve managed to put together a few very efficient road trips (where efficiency is defined as the maximum “games seen in new parks divided by days on the trip.”  I’ve managed an 11/8 trip that included a lost day for a family member’s graduation as well as a 5/3 mini-trip.  Finding early afternoon and even morning games helps a lot, but of course ultimately I have to be within driving distance from one game to the next.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas of how to most effectively plan one of these trips?  I’ve been just choosing a fertile geographic area, putting all the area’s games into a spreadsheet, and then coming up with a route through trial and error.  I’d love some suggestions for more efficient planning.  At the least, it would be great to find a comprehensive location/date/time database for minor league games, as that would cut my legwork dramatically.

Or, if all else fails, general baseball roadtripping chatter would be appreciated too.

Oh, and here’s my current map, not updated since my last swing through California:  Google Map

I have done some of this also, but I haven’t identified a better way than what you have.  I select a region, then see where the overlaps are.
