It’s separate OF slots.
I did the deal without Granderson and Blalock. I couldn’t justify making Wilkerson my starter in CF and Blalock a bench player.
This way, even if Granderson is worse than Blalock this year (and I sincerely hope he’s not), I still end up with 2 choices at CF. Possibly, as the year progresses, Wilkerson will rise and pass a sliding Granderson; I’d rather have two guys doing great, but this does cover my risks.
I have Fielder and Delgado for my utility slots, and so Blalock was not playing there. And Wright starts at 3B.
My pitching is getting better. Now, I have Zumaya, Duaner Sanchez, Street, Gagne (DL), Cotts, Soriano, and now F-Rod in a league in which I can start 5 relievers daily, and relievers are crucial (a lot of rate stats, only a 20 IP minimum each week, no saves or wins).
