Wang or Cain

I’m in a MLB.com salary cap league, where wins, innings, and strikeouts are most important. I’m trying to decide if I should trade Chien-Ming Wang for Matt Cain.

Wang is on the Yankees and gets innings and wins, but fewer Ks. But Cain is young and a bit inconsistent but he racks up the strikeouts. Of course, his run support is lacking.

What do you think I should do?

I’d go with Cain.  Especially if ERA matters, I think he’ll beat Wang by a lot going forward in K & ERA.

I’ve decided against picking up Cain right now—today he’s going against the Dodgers lineup, and a win isn’t likely with Brad Penny on the other side of the hill.
