I am interested in learning what I can about this amateur and semi-pro baseball league that existed in the early 20th century, and perhaps even more ambitiously about a specific team, the Powhatan Brooklyn Baseball Club (not to be confused with a 19th Century team by the same name).

Is anybody familiar with this league or have any suggestions for how to go about researching it?
