I wish I knew this thread existed. I bring this topic up all the time, since it makes me sad how atrophied the site has become.
My main idea is to re-brand the site around the Hall of Merit. It’s unique and attracts extremely intelligent discussion. Plenty of people are frustrated with the Hall of Fame. I bet there are many people who would be interested in the Hall of Merit, but don’t know it exists. Even young people might be interested ...
... if the site didn’t look so crappy. That should be a relatively easy fix for somebody who knows how to do that. And I would clear everything out but the Hall of Merit and the Newsblog. Nobody cares about the rest, and as somebody pointed out, the 2014 game chatters should not be there—it’s practically a flashing sign saying “This Site Is Pretty Much Abandoned.”
