Put your former major leaguer sightings on this thread.

My home-team Camden Riversharks feature former major leaguers Travis Phelps and Chris Fussell, along with celebrity siblings Denny Abreu (Bobby) and Michael Floyd (Gavin.)

They opened against the Long Island Duck, featuring a plethora of cups of coffee, including former major leaguers Pat Ahearn, Todd Erdos, Nelson Figueroa, Ryan Jensen, Andrew Lorraine, Pat Mahomes, Erick Almonte, Carlos Hernandez, Bucky Jacobsen, Henry Rodriguez,

And Mike Crudale.

Well at the Somerset vs AC game last night, there were ex-MLB superstars Ozzie Timmons, Fernando Lunar, Ryan Radmanovich, Steve Torrealba, Andy Van Hekken, and maybe others.  I only recognized Timmons name as an mlber at the time (today I looked at boxscore and bbref).

The Somersets best player was a third basemen by the name of Nettles. I wonder if he was Craig Nettles’ son.

At the park, I couldnt believe that Rickey was once in this league.

I see that Bridgeport has Barry Wesson and Angel Echevarria.

Not exactly household names, to be sure.

Jeff Nettles of the Somerset Patriots is indeed Graig’s son.  He’s been with the team for several years now and seems to be their most popular player.  Of course, that is probably because he’s the only one with a name that casual fans would recognize.

James Lofton is on the Nashua Pride, who came up with the Red Sox a few years back in September. He was also in Cincinatti’s system for a while, so he may have made an appearance with the Reds. Of course, Nashua is now in the Can-Am league, less superior than the Atlantic League.

Anyone ever seen anyone pattern their mannerisms after a major leaguer like Ahearne has with Hershisher? He may have altered his delivery since I saw him last, but at one point, the similarity was spooky.

Charlie Hough as a pitching coach.  I love that.

That is like have Steve Balboni or Ron Kittle as your hitting coach.  Okay, swing really hard.
