I’ve been offered Burrell for Hernandez. McCann would then get all of my C starts.

I would no longer have a back up catcher, and I like having one just because of the injury risk. But Barajas and Piazza are on the wire.

Playing Burrell would push Jacobs to the bench until Helton is back.  And then Burrell would be the first guy off of the bench in the event of injury and my best trade bait.

I took the deal.

I don’t like Primer anymore.  It’s way too fragmented.  I think I won’t be around very often.

I don’t know.  I’m not quite sure what the think about positional scarcity after draft day.  I like McCann a lot—he’s my starting catcher—but it seems like it’d be a lot harder to replace him with something comparable to what you could replace Burrell with.  Burrell is also extremely streaky—in any short period of time, it’s impossible to know whether he’ll be the best outfielder in baseball or the worst.

I probably wouldn’t have done it.

When you look at the numbers from last year, it was easy for me.

Walks & OBP count for my league, too.

Barajas and Doumit are still FAs.
