Once Pena walked last night, I got the feeling that the Cubs were going to squander the scoring opportunity. I was sad to be right, even after the Cubs got a break because of Casey McGehee's puzzling throw home without getting an additional out because he jumped OVER third base.

Also, Blake DeWitt sucks.

It's not very often that you see a guy striking out over 11 hitters per nine, walking less than 2, and still have an ERA of almost 5. He's only even allowing a hit per inning. He's allowing a good number of homers, but nothing so outrageous that you'd expect his HR rate to overwhelm his other peripherals.

IOW, very strange season Greinke's having. In unrelated news, I expect the Cubs to get shut down hard tonight. Hope Z's up to the task.
