Oh Ruben. You gotta get an out there, buddy.

The inning of 15 DPs chances!

Let's stop moralizing about the infield defense, you ####### geek, Cohen.

I only tolerate it a bit more from you, Ronny.

Caps command is awful tonight. He's been lucky thus far.

Did you hear Cohen's, "You don't need stats to tell someone is a HOFer, you can tell just by watching him" bullshit?

The Mets continue the 2011 2-out doubles parade tonight.

Baseball is funny. Cap looked about as has as I've seen him tonight but better results than many of his starts.

Of course, that's mostly because the Giants offense is Kung Fu Slim and the Replacement Level All Stars.
   8. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:04 AM (#3873293)
As bad as I've seen him, my autocorrect is working overtime.

I wasn't paying attention to Cohen HoF remarks, but it sounds about right. I swear, he strikes me as someone who spouts certain conventional wisdoms not because he believes in them but because he doesn't want to get a swirly.
   9. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:07 AM (#3873296)
I might be giving Cohen's intelligence too much credit though. Anyone who has made as many borderline racist comments as he has probably isn't working with a full deck.
   10. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:08 AM (#3873297)
I guess I should call them "racially stereotypical motivated comments" to be more accurate.
   11. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:13 AM (#3873300)
Ugh, this isn't good.
   12. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:16 AM (#3873302)
This game is all about missed DPs.

To be fair, I don't think many of us are working with a "full deck". If you're at all conscious, life should at least be a little confusing/disturbing/overwhelming.

The Mets have FAILED and failed badly tonight.
   14. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:21 AM (#3873306)
Well that was stupid, Murphy!
   15. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:26 AM (#3873308)
Damn straight, OBV. We're all just floating on this blue orb around a huge ####### fireball. That fact alone is enough to horrify/amaze me and gives me pause whenever I think I know #### about ####!

The only thing I do know is that Jason Bay being good was about as shortlived as my existence relative to the universe.
   16. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:27 AM (#3873309)
Jorge Sosa? Thank you for reminding me of that particular repressed memory, Gary.
   17. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:34 AM (#3873311)
Whether its his constantly changing facial hair or the fact that he's the purest of all LOOGYs, I just can't take a shine to Byrdak.
   18. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:38 AM (#3873312)
I don't expect Byrdak, Izzy or K-Rod to be here after the deadline. Relievers are sooo ####### fungible.

The alliterative would've worked better without the nanny.
   19. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:39 AM (#3873313)
The last few Mets ABs have been horrendous. Some of the worst i've seen this year.
   20. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:43 AM (#3873315)
Ruben always puts up a fight.
   21. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:45 AM (#3873317)
Well, at least the tying run gets a chance to bat. Makes it interesting anyway.

Tejada certainly gives a battle up there, but I still have no idea whether he's got the contact or power skills to be any good.
   22. Banta Posted: July 10, 2011 at 03:47 AM (#3873319)
Worst. AB. Ever. Seriously, nevermind about making it interesting, I'd have rather not seen that.
