They also point out that he can flat-out hit, and that if -- tyrannosaurus-sized if -- he can ever stay healthy, he could actually get to the be the Mets' second-baseman quite soon. However, the problem is two-fold. He needs to stay healthy to get the minor-league playing experience he needs, and also just to prove he can stay on the field consistently enough for the Mets to actually count on him.
Still, this counts as a nice (small) step in the right direction: some positive news in what's been a disappointing road for a promising talent.
Ugh.
