Good news, I picked up Luebke for my fantasy team. No chance he pitches well.

The whole outcome of the draft and the Mets' signings has me very happy. The Mets spent over $6.4M in bonuses, and signed 10 players to bonuses over $200,000 -- and 14 to six-figure bonuses. I think this is very likely to yield a greater depth of at least reasonably solid talent.

In other news, the ruling today from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals on the Madoff case is very bad news for the Wilpons.

Writing Scott Hairston's name on the line-up card in RF is managerial malpractice.

Shut up Gary. And, yes, I know most people feel that way about the wild card, but I wish they'd shut up too.

Not the greatest start for Matt Harvey tonight, but solid enough in a 17-5 Binghamton win, as he evened his AA record at 3-3:

5 5 3 3 2 6

The sad case of Brad Holt continued; he came on to replace Harvey to start the 6th, and did this:

.1 2 2 2 2 0

Matt Den Dekker and Juan Lagares (who is just on fire in AA, by the way, hitting .414 so far) both had three hits.

I'm doubtful that Pedro Beato, major league starter, will be a success.

Yeah, not that the Orioles make the best decisions, but there was a reason they moved him into the bullpen.

His minor league numbers as a starter*: 444.1 IP, 4.50 ERA, 300/163 K/BB, 46 HR

*Includes 5 relief appearances, baseball reference doesn't have minor league splits
