Standup fastball fails again.

Now Stairs will sit changeup.
   203. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:40 AM (#2530766)
Gameday had that looking like a "stand-up" pitch.
   204. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:40 AM (#2530767)
Overthrowing and missing badly with the fastball on the 1-2. Still hasn't thrown a change.
   205. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530769)
Waste of two pitches there - this is so annoying
   206. Nick Warino Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530771)
Gagne's overthrowing.
   207. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530772)
Overthrowing again on the 2-2. Still no changeup.
   208. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530777)
Essobee.
   209. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530778)
This is a joke
   210. Biff, highly-regarded young guy Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:41 AM (#2530779)
Gameday had none of those pitches anywhere near the strike zone.
   211. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530780)
I !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&!@#$%^&* HATE GAGNE
   212. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530781)
And then nowhere near the strike zone with a terrible changeup.
   213. IronChef Chris Wok Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530782)
F!@# YOU GAGNE
   214. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530783)
He'd better be out.
   215. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530784)
F!!&! US!
   216. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530785)
Greg Zaun ends our chance at the division right here

Well Done Boston
   217. Nick Warino Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530786)
Gagne's been terribly inconsistent from pitch to pitch with the Sox. He'll look great at one moment and like #### the next.
   218. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:42 AM (#2530787)
Challenges with the first two pitches to Stairs, and then gets nowhere in the area code of home plate on the next four.
   219. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530788)
Papelbon just standing around.
   220. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530790)
Overthrowing and missing badly again to start Zaun.
   221. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530791)
It's like having Armando Benitez out there, but worse.
   222. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530792)
What is going on? All of a sudden he has Zaun walking?
   223. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530793)
The 0-0 was a strike, but missed so badly it fooled the ump.
   224. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:43 AM (#2530795)
Rinse, repeat.
   225. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:44 AM (#2530797)
WAKE THE #### UP TITO YOU ############# DOUCHE BAG!

   227. Nick Warino Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:44 AM (#2530798)
This is so painful.
   228. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:44 AM (#2530799)
Rinse, repeat.
   229. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:44 AM (#2530800)

   236. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530810)
First time in 6 years he's walked in a run.
   237. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530811)
Mota for Gagne.
   238. Nick Warino Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530813)
Gagne's going to single-handily cost us the division.
   239. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530814)
He's HORRID!!
   240. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530815)

DIE IN A FIRE GAGNE
   243. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530819)
Unfrickinbelievable. Is Tito on the Yankees' payroll or something? I honestly don't get these completely boneheaded late hooks.
   244. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:45 AM (#2530820)
Papelbon should've been warming up earlier!
   245. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:46 AM (#2530821)
well done gagne you useless fukking turd

2 outs and you had no base runners
   246. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:46 AM (#2530822)
Almost hit Adams with ball one. Really boneheaded on his part not to get hit.
   247. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:46 AM (#2530823)
AND HE'S STILL IN THERE!
   248. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:46 AM (#2530824)
WHAT THE #### IS WRONG WITH YOU TITO? WHAT THE #### IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT THE #### IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT THE #### IS WRONG WITH YOU?

This is a joke

We are going to lose the Division
   251. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530827)
I predict a riot
   252. Marc Sully's not booin'. He's Youkin'. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530829)
Tito is so damn dumb.
   253. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530830)
Only 12 strikes in 30 pitches. So far.
   254. Nick Warino Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530832)
Gagne's has no idea where anything is going.
   255. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530833)
Just so painfull to watch

This is SO BAD
   256. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:47 AM (#2530834)
More count leverage wasted.
   257. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530835)
Like an aging boxer, Tito has a slow hook.
   258. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530836)
Die, Eric. Just... go and die somewhere you useless sack of shite.
   259. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530837)

   260. Marc Sully's not booin'. He's Youkin'. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530838)
Gagne, Tito and Drew all complicit.

How perfect.
   261. IronChef Chris Wok Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530839)
I've shut it off.
   262. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:48 AM (#2530840)
Tito is to blame here.

   266. Dan Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:49 AM (#2530845)
WHAT THE #### TITO
   267. Biff, highly-regarded young guy Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:50 AM (#2530846)
It's too bad they're not playing in Fenway right now. If they were, Gagne would be getting serenaded by boos.
   268. Phil Coorey. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:50 AM (#2530848)
LISTEN HERE

WE JUST LOST THE DIVISION

IT IS THAT SIMPLE

DONT PAINT A BRIGHT PICTURE CAUSE IT IS DARK

WE JUST LOST THE DIVISION AND GAGNE IS A MAJOR REASON WHY

DONT GIVE ME THIS 'WE ARE GONNA WIN THE DIVISION ####'

CAUSE WE AINT
   269. Richard Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:50 AM (#2530850)
Francona has taken leave of his senses.
   270. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:50 AM (#2530852)
Grooved it.

And that was some bad route by Drew - completely misread the ball, probably because you couldn't hit it any harder than Adams hit it, and it took off like a rising four-seam fastball.
   271. Biff, highly-regarded young guy Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:51 AM (#2530854)
Phil, we're still up by 2.5 games even if we don't come back in this one.
   272. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:51 AM (#2530855)
Guys, I am now officially taking the rest of the ####### regular season off. See you in two weeks. I can't stand another minute of this completely braindead completely indefensible managing by a manager who obviously wants to lose games. The Yankee fans will chortle and make gagging noises in our direction, but we won as a wild card 3 years ago, and it can happen again. But Earl Weaver or Whitey Herzog will likely have to come out of retirement. I honestly didn't think anyone could be worse than Grady Little, but now I have been proven wrong.
   273. karlmagnus Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:51 AM (#2530857)
However Cleveland are beating Detroit, which helps. We could be the '06 Tigers, you never know.
   274. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:51 AM (#2530858)
And there's the ballgame.

I seriously hope Tito has to answer for this ####. Because this is some ###### up ####. Eric Gagne should be taken out and just shot. I want him nowhere near the playoff roster, I want him nowhere near the bullpen. DL him.

I also hope Theo has to answer a question like "Hey, why are you letting Tito let Gagne blow 4 ############# GAMES?" WHY?

I've lost it. They can lose the division. They can miss the playoffs. I just don't care. Because Tito is going to keep trusting in Gagne until he loses every important game we have from no until eternity.
   275. IronChef Chris Wok Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:51 AM (#2530860)
If they were, Gagne would be getting serenaded by boos

I call for an assassination.
   276. konaforever Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:52 AM (#2530861)
Tito needs to resort to video taping.
   277. The Piehole of David Wells Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:52 AM (#2530862)
i hate terry francona. if the sox lose the division, francona gets fired before the winter meetings. any takers?
   278. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:52 AM (#2530864)
Actually, looking at the replay, I don't think Drew ever had a chance to catch that ball - he took the only route he could. If he had angled back, it still would have reached the wall.
   279. Marc Sully's not booin'. He's Youkin'. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:52 AM (#2530866)
Honestly, #### this.

It just sucks. Tito is so, so awful.
   280. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:52 AM (#2530867)
Manny D threw 3 ####### pitches in the 7th. Oka never warmed up. When I die maybe Jesus/Buddha can explain Tito's reasoning here, or provide me with a scan of his brainwaves or something, and all will become clear. Bye all.
   281. IronChef Chris Wok Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:53 AM (#2530869)
We should sign John Cena to play RF for the Red Sox. His dad would beat the S!@# out of A-Rod, and John could hit a 3 run HR with nobody on base.
   282. Biff, highly-regarded young guy Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:53 AM (#2530871)
Why are the Blue Jays leaving in Burnett to kill his arm?
   283. Dan Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:54 AM (#2530872)
Seriously, how the #### do you leave Gagné in after he walks the bases loaded, NEVER MIND AFTER HE WALKS IN THE TYING RUN?
   284. IronChef Chris Wok Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:54 AM (#2530874)
Bryan Corey is better than Eric gagne.
   285. Random Transaction Generator Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:54 AM (#2530875)
They still haven't shown an overhead view of the play at home. I thought Zaun might have skirted around it, but I can't tell.

I'm a Jays fan AND I have Gagne in my baseball pool.
#### the baseball pool, go Jays go!

Also, Red Sox fans...don't worry, we'll return the favour and bury the Yankees on the weekend.
   286. John DiFool2 Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:55 AM (#2530878)
Because Tito is going to keep trusting in Gagne until he loses every important game we have from no until eternity.

He'll keep trusting in players long after they have lost effectiveness/value, either over a game or over a season. Slow hooks with Wakefield and Schill, playing Cora and not pinch hitting, Keeping Lowrie in the minors (yeah our GM shares the blame there), etc. ad nauseum. It's like loyalty to certain players overrides common and strategic sense to a completely surreal extent. Yeah I'm going last post.
   287. The Piehole of David Wells Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:55 AM (#2530879)
and he sends up moss in the 9th. perfect. and he strikes out LOOKING. is there nothing else on the bench? isn't there a ballgirl or a small child or a grandmother they can call on to pinch hit instead of moss?
   288. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:55 AM (#2530880)
Gibbons sacrificing Burnett's arm for no good reason. Second straight 120+ pitch outing for a guy with a serious injury history.
   289. Random Transaction Generator Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:55 AM (#2530882)
And that's the last we'll see of Burnett.
   290. Random Transaction Generator Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:56 AM (#2530883)
This game, I mean.
   291. Dr Love Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:56 AM (#2530885)
Why are the Blue Jays leaving in Burnett to kill his arm?

So they can collect insurance money?
   292. Textbook Editor Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:56 AM (#2530887)
Honestly someone in the Boston media needs to sack up and rail on Tito over and over again until he cracks. I'm sick of him never having to answer a tough question regarding anything he does with the bullpen, etc. Papelbon should have been in the game with the bases loaded... there just is no if ands or buts about it.

And now Lugo hits a HR so we can make this another horrid 1-run loss. Fantastic.
   293. Dan Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:56 AM (#2530888)
Glad Tito didn't bring in Paps after it was tied, cause then we might hav ea lead now. God forbid. Seriously, #### you Francona, I hope we miss the ####### playoffs just so I can see your dumb ass get fired.
   294. Marc Sully's not booin'. He's Youkin'. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:56 AM (#2530891)
From the too little too late dept...Julio Lugo shows his face for the first time in a couple of months.
   295. karlmagnus Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:57 AM (#2530893)
Means he won't be available for the MFY. bet Toronto fold like Baltimore as soon as they land. Fortunately Detroit hasn't sold its soul to the devil, so there's still hope for a postseason berth.
   296. Biff, highly-regarded young guy Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:57 AM (#2530896)
Julio Lugo, new clutch god.
   297. Chip Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:58 AM (#2530897)
Also, Red Sox fans...don't worry, we'll return the favour and bury the Yankees on the weekend.

There was no sign of them having that ability or interest last week.
   298. Marc Sully's not booin'. He's Youkin'. Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:59 AM (#2530904)
Perfect.
   299. Random Transaction Generator Posted: September 19, 2007 at 01:59 AM (#2530903)
There was no sign of them having that ability or interest last week.

It didn't matter then. Now it does. It's more fun that way.
   300. Dan Posted: September 19, 2007 at 02:00 AM (#2530906)
Bull #### that wasn't a ####### strike. Whatever. Another loss 100% on Tito.
