Just turned the game on - I was out for The OC. (Which was relatively disappointing, BTW. Other than Jeri Ryan as the crazy lesbian alcoholic looking to break up Sandy and Kirsten's marriage, at least.)

I just learned today that Jeri Ryan was going to be on The OC, and that she and Melinda Clarke are friends in real life.

I found this second bit of news far more exciting than the first, though my definition of "friend" may be overbroad in this case.

One of my best friends from college worked at a technology transfer consultant in New Bedford up until this last fall. Is it the sort of small world where you would know of other companies in the area, or, um, is this a very boring connection?

I just learned today that Jeri Ryan was going to be on The OC, and that she and Melinda Clarke are friends in real life.

I don't find either of them particularly attractive. Jeri Ryan is particularly unattractive to me, especially since I found out that refuses to perform vile and kinky sex acts in front of strangers for her husband. What sort of wife is that!

I don't know how we're going to convince fans of other teams that our bullpen has been shaky this season, and particularly so over the last month plus. There's been a lot of nail-biting over the bullpen in Los Angeles of Anaheim.

I like Melinda Clarke. It was wacky that she played herself, only as the wife of a fictional character played by Malcom McDowell on Entourage this season. Very random.

The offense, or lack thereof, has been pretty average for most of this century. The bullpen, on the other hand, has been stellar up until the second half of this season.

And KRod shows just how shakey by walking the bases loaded.

Whew.

I feel really fortunate to have escaped Fenway with one win. We really need to take some frustration out on the ChiSox this weekend.

Seems like The Wyrd did well; this'll be the first game I actually go back and watch in awhile.

Larry Young is a joke. When Sciosia came out to argue the appeal play, Young said that Cabrera "never tagged up", and then said he "never touched the bag". The replay showed Cabrera standing on second while leaning toward third, with Young looking out toward Nixon. Cabrera left second after Nixon made the catch, but Young was still looking out toward right field. He was guessing.

More lip reading: The night before, Sciosia told Young he "didn't have the balls to make that call", re: the Ortiz check swing 3rd strike. Then, they went back and forth with "do your job!!" type comments. Cool stuff.
