Sometimes I see those long opposite-field homers from Castro and wonder what he could do with just slightly better plate discipline. He has genuine power, and just needs a little better approach so that he can see pitches like that more often.

I am at the game and an amazed the Bucs are this good with such a craptastic lineup. PNC has become my 2nd favorite park after Wrigley. Just gorgeous.

On this afternoon's broadcast, Len is going deep into the various components (arm, range, error rate) of Fangraphs' UZR150 numbers for Soriano over the past few seasons to make the case for his improved defense. Very cool.

Also, this isn't exactly a newsflash, but man is that Pittsburgh park pretty. Amazing what a difference it makes in the viewing experience, even onscreen.
