Beltran with the day off. Lo Duca is batting third.
   2. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 05:30 PM (#2172642)
Sweet play, David.
   3. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 05:51 PM (#2172653)
Ugh, bases loaded.
   4. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 05:55 PM (#2172659)
You suck Trax.
   5. Old Matt Posted: September 10, 2006 at 05:55 PM (#2172660)
If Steve Trachsel starts a postseason game for the New York Mets, I will be angry.

Very angry.
   6. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 05:58 PM (#2172667)
5 straight hits allowed to real hitters.

Bannister warming up.
   7. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:01 PM (#2172669)
Trachsel is annoying.
   8. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:01 PM (#2172670)
Hey Matt! That was some ending to the Syracuse game, were you there?
   9. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:03 PM (#2172673)
Steve Lyons is an idiot.
   10. Old Matt Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:03 PM (#2172674)
Hey Matt! That was some ending to the Syracuse game, were you there?

I was there. Pretty depressing. But the game was entertaining - a lot more than I thought it would be.

SU is a running joke on SportsCenter now, which is hilarious.
   11. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:06 PM (#2172677)
Not exactly a confidence-inspiring start by Trax.
   12. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:06 PM (#2172680)
Don't worry, only a couple of months til basketball season.
   13. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:07 PM (#2172682)
"Very angry."

I have to assume it's clear to EVERYONE who the best starters on the Mets are- hopefully, Maine will come back from the shaky Friday start and make it even more clear.
   14. Old Matt Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:08 PM (#2172683)
If Maine isn't ahead of Trachsel now, maybe the Mets won't win the pennent after all.
   15. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:08 PM (#2172684)
Ugh, bases loaded.

Trachsel might force himself out of the playoff rotation.
   16. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:09 PM (#2172687)
Reyes saves a couple of runs.
   17. Old Matt Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:12 PM (#2172690)
Any chance we see Humber today?

I'm watching the Eagles, but if Humber comes in, I'll switch.
   18. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:23 PM (#2172704)
Nice throw Blow Duca.
   19. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:26 PM (#2172715)
That was a clutch situation? Up 4-0 in the fourth?
   20. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:28 PM (#2172718)
I hate these announcers. Where's Vin Scully?
   21. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:33 PM (#2172724)
Wow, a lot of negativity. Aren't the Mets up 16.5 games with 21 to go?
   22. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:41 PM (#2172735)
You know things aren't going well when Jeff Kent hits a triple.
   23. Bob T Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:44 PM (#2172736)
Vin Scully doesn't cover road games outside the NL West anymore.
   24. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 06:49 PM (#2172741)
Vin Scully doesn't cover road games outside the NL West anymore.

That sucks.
   25. Bob T Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:01 PM (#2172757)
The man is 79 years old. He's been at it a while.

He used to only come to New York trips while his mother was still alive. His mother lived a very long time.
   26. Banta Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:02 PM (#2172761)
Watching the Bills, but have to say that Bannister is not a major league pitcher. And Trachsel is not a postseason starter.
   27. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:08 PM (#2172763)
He used to only come to New York trips while his mother was still alive.

I didn't know that. I knew he cut back on the number of games he does, but didn't know anything more than that.
   28. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:10 PM (#2172766)
Jose Reyes! 19 HR!
   29. Banta Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:11 PM (#2172769)
At least Reyes is godlike.
   30. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:15 PM (#2172775)
Vin Scully is great. It is amazing how much you learn about the players when you listen to him.
   31. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:35 PM (#2172806)
Bannister is not a major league pitcher
Milledge is not a major league hitter... an outstanding day for Met suspects.
   32. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:37 PM (#2172807)
There is no one at his level. However, I love this Mets announcing team.

Another Mets third baseman!
   33. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:39 PM (#2172810)
"Milledge is not a major league hitter... an outstanding day for Met suspects."

Ah, let's give up on a hitter with a .400+ OBP as a 21-year-old in AAA due to 100? bad at bats.

Quick quiz: what does starting your career with 150 AB of .240/.288/.300 line mean?

Hint: You end up with 4,191 hits.
   34. Banta Posted: September 10, 2006 at 07:46 PM (#2172818)
I hate the ####### Patriots so much.
   35. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: September 10, 2006 at 08:02 PM (#2172834)

They are called 'AAAA' players.
   36. Old Matt Posted: September 10, 2006 at 08:04 PM (#2172836)
Father Time played third?

Uhh...
   37. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 08:05 PM (#2172837)
"They are called 'AAAA' players."

Wow. I hope most Mets fans aren't as impatient as you are. More importantly, I hope Mets management isn't.
   38. HowardMegdal Posted: September 10, 2006 at 08:09 PM (#2172842)
"Father Time played third?"

He was a real Gary Carter out there.
