I am psyched for this game!

Well, actually, not.

But it's a good sports night- I get to root for the Mets and Rutgers, against the Yankees and Phillies. Four games! And my wife just fell asleep. This is fortuitous timing indeed.

I guess this is what happens when you root for a small market team... no other fans to watch with you...

I'm on a posting strike until Beltran breaks the Mets homerun record.

The Nationals announcers just said that Reyes and Wright have had more valuable years than Beltran simply because they have better batting averages. They also said that Reyes and Wright are the only true "great" players on the team. Ugh.

SNY showed a crazy angle for that ball. It definitely looked like Stache had another grand slam.

Maine really needs to learn how to mix up his pitches the second time through the order.

Decent enough start by Maine.
   8. Banta Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:20 AM (#2192025)
Decent enough start by Maine.

Not to start ahead of Trachsel though, I'd imagine.

I hope this isn't Willie's postseason hook. Feliciano should be out of this game.
   10. Banta Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:26 AM (#2192031)
Well, Willie showed me what I know!

This is some posting strike I'm on.

Not to start ahead of Trachsel though, I'd imagine.

A no hitter might not have been enough.

Keith: When my wife got hammered in Atlanta...

Gary: Do you want to rephrase that?

Keith: Oh yeah! So.. what's the word I'm looking for... nailed?

Gary: Hit by the ball.

Man, the playoffs just aren't gonna be as much fun without these clowns.

Willie decided to end the inning, pinch hiting a strikeout for a double play.

Watch Green GIDP...

Warning track power. Meh.
   16. Banta Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:43 AM (#2192048)
Shawn Green with a productive out. I didn't know he could do that.
   17. AJMcCringleberry Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:43 AM (#2192050)
I think that's about as far as Green can hit a ball.
   18. Banta Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:44 AM (#2192051)
I think I said post 13 backwards.
   19. Banta Posted: September 30, 2006 at 01:54 AM (#2192059)
Franco isn't any worse at third than Wright and he might even be better. I wonder who that says more about?
