1. I. Desmond, SS R. Tejada, SS
2. S. Lombardozzi, 2B R. Cedeno, 3B
3. R. Zimmerman, 3B D. Murphy, 2B
4. A. LaRoche, 1B J. Bay, LF
5. J. Werth, RF L. Duda, RF
6. X. Nady, LF J. Turner, 1B
7. R. Bernadina, CF S. Hairston, CF
8. W. Ramos, C M. Nickeas, C
9. R. Detwiler, P D. Gee, P

Is Wright hurt? I'm guessing Collins just wants to make sure he gets rest, and I'm fine with that. But there's an off day in 2 days, and even if he wants to give him a rest, I don't think those rest days should be given against lefties.

If they win tonight with this lineup, I'm going to start thinking 162-0.

The Primer Chimp apparently does not tolerate multiple spaces between words.

It seems Wright has a jammed pinkie.
   4. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:12 PM (#4103263)
That's not a good start.
   5. Joey B. is counting the days to Trea Turner Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:15 PM (#4103267)
Jeez, when did Mets fans become such lunatics? They're a remarkably improbable 4-0, and yet the fans are jumping all over the team any time something goes the slightest bit wrong.
   6. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:18 PM (#4103274)
That helps a bit.
   7. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:19 PM (#4103275)
What are you talking about, Joey?
   8. Joey B. is counting the days to Trea Turner Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:20 PM (#4103279)
What are you talking about, Joey?

I'm talking about the Mets fans at the game going freaking ballistic because Desmond hit a leadoff homer. You would think they were 0-20 instead of 4-0.
   9. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:21 PM (#4103283)
I thought Gary said Ike was "arrested" then I realized he said "rested", I got scared for a second.
   10. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:22 PM (#4103290)
Oh. Well, team record doesn't really affect fan reaction to leadoff home runs. Plus, Gee is terrible. Dickey or Santana would not get booed like that.
   11. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:24 PM (#4103297)
Tejada's already hit 3 or 4 balls this season which, if struck similarly by an average major leaguer would be home runs.

Welcome, Cedeno.
   12. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:25 PM (#4103298)
That's as far as Tejada can hit a ball. And Nady played the ball like Nady.
   13. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:26 PM (#4103302)
I just checked Cedeno's bbref page for the first time. He is really, really shitty for someone with 2,000 at bats.
   14. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:27 PM (#4103308)
I miss Nady stumbling around the outfield of Shea.
   15. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:30 PM (#4103313)
Cedeno is utterly replaceable, I don't know why you'd pay him more than the minimum.
   16. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:32 PM (#4103318)
Duda should hit ahead of Bay, I don't care if a lefty is pitching.
   17. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:33 PM (#4103319)
####.
   18. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:35 PM (#4103321)
Agree. Bay is looking even toastier than he did last year. He just can't catch up to major league pitching. So he's probably going to go all Delgado circa 2009=8 on us.
   19. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:36 PM (#4103323)
Can't be wasting opportunities like that tonight.
   20. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 07:55 PM (#4103350)
I'm starting not to like this Desmond fellow.
   21. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:03 PM (#4103365)
I think he swung.
   22. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:15 PM (#4103387)
Beltran hit another homer tonight. Three on the year now.
   23. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:20 PM (#4103396)
I wish he was doing it for the Mets, but I'm glad he's doing well. I'd like to see him get in the HOF, partly to piss off all the fans who could never forgive him for the great moral failure of taking strike 3.
   24. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:29 PM (#4103413)
These pitchers must be staff aces!
   25. Never Give an Inge (Dave) Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:30 PM (#4103416)

This is a frighteningly bad lineup when Wright and Ike are not playing.
   26. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:35 PM (#4103427)
Are you saying the 2012 version of Jason Bay is not an acceptable clean-up hitter?
   27. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:35 PM (#4103428)

Me too. He was my second favorite player behind Reyes when he was here, I even have a Beltran jersey.
   28. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:37 PM (#4103431)
Fly balls hit to Duda scare me.
   29. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:46 PM (#4103442)
Looks like Stammen will start 6th.
   30. Never Give an Inge (Dave) Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:46 PM (#4103443)

To be fair, the 2010 and 2011 versions would not be acceptable either.
   31. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:52 PM (#4103459)
Wright has been upgraded to a broken pinky. I assume it'll be amputated by next week.
   32. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:52 PM (#4103460)
Fracture? Sigh.
   33. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 08:57 PM (#4103474)
Dammit, Murphy.
   34. JJ1986 Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4103478)
Ugly.
   35. Dog on the sidewalk has an ugly bracelet Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4103482)
4-1 isn't bad.
   36. Esoteric Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4103483)
Wright has a broken finger? Man, guy can't catch a ####### break.
   37. Esoteric Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:01 PM (#4103486)
Have to say I'm very impressed by Detwiler's start today. I know it's the Mets lineup sans Wright and all, but still...maybe Davey and Rizzo WERE right about favoring him over Lannan.
   38. Lassus Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:16 PM (#4103514)
WTF happened with the ####### pinky? I've watched every ####### game. I just walked in and this is the first I've heard of you.

You have got to be ####### kidding me.
   39. Lassus Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:17 PM (#4103522)
First I've heard of it, I mean.

How did that happen?

I am now pissed.
   40. AJMcCringleberry Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:18 PM (#4103523)
Diving back to first base last night.

Miguel Batista calls his saxophone 'Cindy', according to the Nats' radio guys.
   43. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:23 PM (#4103535)
Now I'm stuck with the -4 leverage index column.

You don't want to know what he calls his collection of human pelts, trust me.
   45. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:33 PM (#4103549)
Take that Bay-boo-birds!
   46. Lassus Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:34 PM (#4103550)
I'm still trying to get over this Wright news. How long is he estimated to be out?
   47. Lassus Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:36 PM (#4103554)
Turner, can you please not suck?
   48. Lassus Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:38 PM (#4103556)
THANK YOU TURNER

If we can win this game, that will do a lot for my foul mood over this Wright news.

I'm still trying to get over this Wright news. How long is he estimated to be out?

Until he feels ok. I think they said he couldn't grip the bat, so it's probably not going to be soon.
   50. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:39 PM (#4103558)
Hey, I was able to spell 'nieuwenhuis' without looking. I guess I have some uses!
   51. Mr Dashwood Posted: April 10, 2012 at 09:56 PM (#4103581)
Is 'Cindy' a better pitcher than 'Miguel'?
