I am going to tomorrow night's game to see Pedro live for the first time. Very exciting. I expect some fireworks this series -- especially tomorrow night. I am sure Pedro's first pitch to Guillen will be high and tight. I almost guarantee it.

I saw Pedro pitch at RFK last year. The crow was chanting "who's your daddy." I was like, umm, the Yankees?

Bad luck in the first. Reyes had a good AB and hit the ball hard. And Beltran couldn't have hit that one any harder.

It's pretty simple. The Mets think they have enough offense and A-Hern will play enough defense to justify his spot in the lineup.

Last year's Mets games that I went to at RFK were at least 25% Mets fans. Or at least it seemed that way. I hope it is the same again this year. I hope we can enojoy the same type of "home-field" advantage at RFK that the Yanks get at Camden, where it always seems there are more Yanmkee's fans than O's fans. They are certainly louder.

Bannister continues to have control problems.

I don't know if it is control issues or if he's afraid that if he throws strikes he's going to get hit. He can't be falling 3-0 half the hitters he is facing.

I know its not a politically correct stat -- but what's the over/under Wright's RBI this year? With the amount of guys that have been getting on base ahead of him, I don't think 120 is unreasonable.

I've been staying out of the chatters because of all the Hernandez bashing. I think he'll hit enough to justify playing and his defense gives us a great up-the-middle asset instead of the weakness Matsui or Keppinger would have provided.

I think we have to waive Valetin and keep Ahern up for a late inning defensive replacement, if we can play him everyday till Kaz gets back, I don't see why we can't keep him around to fill in at SS and 2B
