I'm not saying these are the worst players we've had since '86 (I remember Pat Howell, Jerry DiPoto, guys like that) just the ones I couldn't stand.
   2. Joshemy Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:49 PM (#2074571)
Steve Trachsel is only #14 Benji? I'm disappointed. I expected him to be at least top 5 in your list.
   3. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:52 PM (#2074573)
Spencer below Garcia. Hm, well, both pissed on the side of the pizzeria, but Spencer was pulled over for doing 100 mph drunk on a Florida highway.

Yep, Garcia above Spencer.
   4. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:54 PM (#2074578)
Oh, and I feel that for his contributions in 1999-2000, Al Leiter should not appear on this list, irregardless of what ocurred afterwards.
   5. Joshemy Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:56 PM (#2074580)
Oh, and where is Kenny Rogers?
   6. Joshemy Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:58 PM (#2074583)
For that matter, Mike Stanton too...
   7. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 06:59 PM (#2074584)
J, if I had been a Primer poster when Coleman and KMac were Mets you would understand why Traschel trails them so much.
   8. Sam M. Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:02 PM (#2074585)
Good list, Benji. But any list that doesn't include Dave Kingman can't really be comprehensive, can it?!

6. Roberto Alomar
7. Kenny Rogers
8. Al Leiter*

   9. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:06 PM (#2074588)
Last 20 years, Sam. But anyway with the M. Donald "offenses" we had Kong's tape measure blasts were sometimes all we had for excitement.
   10. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:08 PM (#2074591)
OFF can't be thrilled right now.
   11. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:10 PM (#2074593)
OMG I forgot Mel Rojas. He, Billy Taylor, Danny Graves and one-year "wonder" Bob Rauch are my all-time Bullpen From Hell. And I left three of them off. Well, hopefully some of you will point out other forgotten nightmares.
   12. Sam M. Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:12 PM (#2074598)
Oh, was it last 20? I thought it was last 25 years. Oh, hell. It should include Kingman anyway, just because it's Dave Kingman and such hatred must linger for at least five years.

OFF must be a lot happier now . . . .
   13. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:15 PM (#2074601)
Beltran DHing...I guess Willie is rotating it to rest a different person each day.
   14. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:27 PM (#2074608)
I thought the ovation(s) Delgado got last night were classy. Nice going Jays fans.
   15. Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:38 PM (#2074617)

16. Danny Graves
17. Jeff McKnight
18. Dick Schofield
19. Jeromy Burnitz
20. Weathers

Basically, I have a big problem with everything they tried to do right after Strawberry left. It didn't ####### work.
   16. Joshemy Posted: June 24, 2006 at 07:42 PM (#2074620)
You also all forgot Gerald Williams.
   17. Sam M. Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:03 PM (#2074643)
You also all forgot Gerald Williams.

I thought long and hard about Ice. He just missed my list. If I have to take Kingman off for being outside the 20 year time frame, then Ice probably sneaks onto my Top 25.
   18. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:04 PM (#2074645)
My brother's nickname for David Wright : Too Good To Be True. Sorta says it all.
   19. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:11 PM (#2074649)
Anbody find this game on Direct TV. Channel 625 is blacked out for me.
   20. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:11 PM (#2074651)
Willie's mad. And Jose was safe.
   21. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:12 PM (#2074652)
Base: How can you not have Ordonez?
   22. Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:13 PM (#2074654)
Why isn't it on EI?
   23. Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:14 PM (#2074657)
15. Rey Rey

I meant Ordonez. Sanchez I could give a #### about.
   24. David L Williams Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:14 PM (#2074658)
Three lists so far and no Derrick "Operation Shutdown" Bell?
   25. CrosbyBird Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:16 PM (#2074661)
Ordonez is absolutely my least favorite Met of all time.

If he could occupy two spots, he'd be 1 and 2.
   26. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:25 PM (#2074676)
That kind of inning is why I used to throw things and scream irrationally when El Duque was a Yankee. Now I like it!
   27. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:33 PM (#2074688)
The base running has been less than good the first two innings.
   28. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:43 PM (#2074706)
Ordonez is absolutely my least favorite Met of all time.

YEP. Alomar No.3.
   29. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:46 PM (#2074716)
No Jeff Kent?? How is that possible?
   30. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:49 PM (#2074720)
Vance Wilson? Shawn Estes? So many from the early 00's.
   31. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:50 PM (#2074724)
We should have shot El Duque when we had the chance.

Mex-Arg about to go to extra time.
   32. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:50 PM (#2074725)
Well, this game's over.
   33. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:52 PM (#2074728)
El Duque?
   34. manchestermets Posted: June 24, 2006 at 08:54 PM (#2074731)
Ah well, better this happens against Halliday than someone likely to give up 5 runs.

Mexico v Argentina is fantastic stuff.
   35. Sam M. Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:04 PM (#2074739)
I utterly LOATHE the Mexican team. If they advance, I will puke.

Is it too late to add El Duque to my list?
   36. Benji Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:05 PM (#2074741)
I don't know. With these guys is it ever over?
   37. Sam M. Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:05 PM (#2074742)
OH!!! What a goal!!!! Holy cow!!!
   38. Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:08 PM (#2074749)
Reyes is a machine. Hitting .290 now.
   39. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:08 PM (#2074750)
Well, Flash blows the game. Phillies lose.
   40. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:16 PM (#2074759)
So, El Duque decided to spit the bit today, huh? Figured that had a good chance of happening.
   41. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:18 PM (#2074762)
Willie took Blow Duca out. Thank the Lord.
   42. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:24 PM (#2074771)
Well, that was generous of Wells.
   43. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:25 PM (#2074773)
Wright is good.
   44. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:33 PM (#2074781)
And that's because I said that Reyes doesn't make "easy" errors yesterday.
   45. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:36 PM (#2074783)
So, does Darren Oliver deserve to start over El Duque?
   46. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:41 PM (#2074784)
Oliver is like the third best pitcher on the staff this year.
   47. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:42 PM (#2074785)
Reyes is unstoppable.
   48. Free Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:42 PM (#2074786)
Reyes is out of his mind.
   49. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:42 PM (#2074787)
This streak that Reyes is on is really insane.
   50. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:43 PM (#2074789)
Oh, Lo Duca was hurt?

Reyes rocks!
   51. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:51 PM (#2074797)
Seriously, Darren Oliver is ####### awesome.
   52. Rob Base Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:51 PM (#2074798)
I like Oliver in this role. Maine or MacLane deserves to start over Duque.
   53. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:54 PM (#2074800)
I like Oliver in this role. Maine or MacLane deserves to start over Duque.

I agree. I don't really see Oliver going more than five in a start. He's fine where he is.

I want MacLane to get a shot. I don't think much of Maine.
   54. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 09:55 PM (#2074802)
Sanchez's MRI negative, he's got a pinched nerve and he's day-to-day. Phew.
   55. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:00 PM (#2074805)
There's some more for the Castro fan club.
   56. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:04 PM (#2074808)
Just got in, looks like Kool-Aid Oliver to the rescue again.
   57. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:10 PM (#2074811)
Key stint for Bell here to prove his value.
   58. Old Matt Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:18 PM (#2074815)
#### Heath, ####.
   59. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:20 PM (#2074816)
4-4
   60. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:20 PM (#2074817)
Reyes continues his race towards .300
   61. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:22 PM (#2074818)
Nice job, Beltran. This is it, our big boppers coming up. We need at least 1 blast here.
   62. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:25 PM (#2074821)
The Mets are going to make this interesting. Reyes is awesome. He's got an .838 OPS now.
   63. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:25 PM (#2074823)
DELGADO!
   64. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:25 PM (#2074824)
SWEET!
   65. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:26 PM (#2074825)
Carloses!

Let's go David!
   66. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:29 PM (#2074829)
Alright, David. Great eye. Tying run is on.
   67. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:31 PM (#2074830)
Dammit Stache.

Please do something Nady.
   68. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:32 PM (#2074832)
Gah. Nady sucks.
   69. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:32 PM (#2074833)
Argh, why did I have so little confidence in that matchup?
   70. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:33 PM (#2074834)
Nady sucks. I actually don't mind the Stache AB. He missed a cookie.
   71. AJMcCringleberry Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:33 PM (#2074835)
####. Nady you're a worthless piece of crap.
   72. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:35 PM (#2074838)
Hmm, interesting use of Wagner here.
   73. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:36 PM (#2074840)
I'm not sure that this usage of Wagner to keep him sharp actually keeps him sharp.
   74. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:37 PM (#2074841)
I don't think it's that interesting. He hasn't pitched in a while and Monday's an offday. There's no worry of overworking him.
   75. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:38 PM (#2074843)
Well, I think we've learned that Rios is crazy in this series.
   76. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:39 PM (#2074845)
That's the good old Wagner power to dispose of Rios.
   77. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:41 PM (#2074847)
Looking ahead, you have to PH Chavez with Franco.
   78. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:43 PM (#2074848)
Looking ahead, you have to PH Chavez with Franco.

That, uh, will obviously never happen.
   79. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:43 PM (#2074849)
Good old Billy the K! Although it seems that he needs more pitches now than he used to.
   80. Dr. Vaux Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:46 PM (#2074850)
What happened to Sanchez sounded like a pinched nerve to me. I get them all the time.

Now, that could mean he'll be all right right away, or the effects could linger for a few weeks. We'll just have to see. I think I remember Carney Lansford or somebody missing a month or more with a pinched nerve several years ago.
   81. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:46 PM (#2074852)
Although it seems that he needs more pitches now than he used to.

And that's why I don't like these "keep sharp" outings. Wastes pitches for sometime when we actually need him.

I can't believe that Endy is out of the game! Although, he definitely could have done what Woodward did on his own.
   82. Raskolnikov Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:47 PM (#2074854)
Yikes, just overmatched.
   83. Banta Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:48 PM (#2074857)
Yeah, it would have been cooler for Omar to have signed BJ Ryan instead. Not that Wagner is doing bad this year, but I don't like him to maintain what he is for the next three years.
   84. Dr. Vaux Posted: June 24, 2006 at 10:54 PM (#2074862)
And Trachsel tomorrow. In this stadium. Against this offense. Hoo-boy...
