Rangers:
232 home runs in 140 games
on pace for 268 home runs
MLB record: 264, Seattle, 1997

Zito, by the way, has owned the Rangers for years, but they've still managed to hit seven home runs against him in the past four seasons.

Zito had rib problems last start. On the one hand, they might be lingering. On the other hand, it might explain his suckiness. Or facing a good lineup might. Here's another one.

Let's go, offense. Please please please. Score some goddamned runs.

How's he look so far? Regular Zito or Garden of Eden Zito?

Garden of Eden Zito. The hook is on, big-time.

Of course, even on days like today, there's always the chance he will walk two and then hang one.

Hatteberg just took strike three right down the middle which was called a ball for some reason. That was odd.

By "Garden of Eden Zito" I actually meant "guy with a funky rib," but it's good to know he looks okay.

Mark Ellis is awesome.

Mark Kotsay is pretty good too.

Runs, runs, glorious runs...

So, how many wins should we expect on this 10 game trip? I'd be happy with 6, provided at least 2 come against the Indians.

"Soft line drives" piss me off.

I'd also be happy with six. I don't care how many come against the Indians because -- all together now -- the A's are not competing with the Indians.

I don’t care how many come against the Indians because—all together now—the A’s are not competing with the Indians.

Until the A's clinch the west or the Indians clinch the wild card, the A's are most certainly competing with the Indians

Nuh-uh.

And the White Sox lead 4-2...

Teams currently competing for AL West:
Anaheim
Oakland

Teams currently competing for AL Wild Card:
Cleveland
New York
loser of Anaheim-Oakland

You might as well try to claim intelligent design is science.

Dude, I've been saying it to whomever would listen for... it seems like years. They're winning the division. Period. Angels fans can scoreboard watch the Indians and Yankees.

I hate this ballpark. One run game.

Macha is really starting to overuse Street.
