OK boys, let's put the Icy Hot back on the shelf where it belongs and get back to playing some winning baseball.

I don't care much for the blue alternative unis. Red is our color! You don't see teams like the Yankees and the Dodgers with three different home uniform styles.

I remember early on in the season some people here at this site saying that Gio really isn't all that great. Well whatever you cats are smoking, stop now for your own good. This guy is an excellent pitcher.

I don't usually make calls like this so early in the game, but the way Nat Gio looks tonight against a team like the Pirates, I'm feeling a pretty good chance for a complete game shutout.

It is fun watching Harper. Wow.

Seriously, why the hell is Desmond leading off? He's not an OBP guy, he's an aggressive free-swinger type, and he has the kind of power that makes him capable of hitting 15 to 20 home runs. It just makes no damn sense at all.

I say you can never get enough races between the Rushmores and the Pierogis.

OK, scratch that prediction about the shutout. I still love the way he's pitching with 7 Ks through five.

Make that 9 through 6 now.

LaRoche, the way you're playing this year I'll pronounce your name any darn way you want me to.

And Nada makes it back-to-back!! With that blast right there I think his OPS+ is now over 20!!!

My theory about Xavier Nady is that he can only hit home runs if the guy before him in the batting order just hit a home run.

LaRoche is so freaking dialed in it's sick.

I'm pretty much ready to offer Adam LaRoche a two-year extension at this point. Sure, it's irrational, but that's fandom for you.

It's kind of hard to believe, but after today we're going to be right in the middle of the majors in team OPS. The runs are finally starting to come now, which is a very dangerous sign for the rest of this league, when you consider who we don't have in the lineup and that Zimmerman hasn't even started hitting yet.

OK, now let's see if the Pineapple Bomb can actually manage to get the ball over the plate tonight and hold onto a three run lead.

Phew, the Pineapple Bomb didn't blow up today. Six blasts of the sub horn, no Icy Hot, and another Curly W in the books, thank you very much.
