They better beat Leake.

They are never going to shut up about this Wright thing from last night. I guess it's a big story, but I'm pretty bored with it already.

I want to win this series.
   4. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:03 PM (#4133398)
I believe I may have been wrong to doubt Mike Baxter.
   5. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:07 PM (#4133401)
WOOHOO!
   6. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:09 PM (#4133403)
Jesus, Davis looks just awful. So sad.
   7. Grumbledook Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:47 PM (#4133445)
Did Howie Rose just say Mike Adamson was the first player selected in the amateur draft? Obviously he never heard of Rick Monday.

   8. AJMcCringleberry Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:52 PM (#4133448)
I didn't hear it, but wikipedia says "Adamson became the first player to go straight to the Major Leagues without spending a day in the minors since the institution of the June baseball lottery in 1965."

That might've been what he was talking about since Leake went straight to the majors too.
   9. Grumbledook Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:54 PM (#4133453)
Ah I misunderstood his comment.
   10. Yonder Alonso in misguided trousers (cardinal) Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:57 PM (#4133455)
Yeah they were talking about players who went straight from college/high school to the majors, somehow without mentioning former Met John Olerud.
   11. AJMcCringleberry Posted: May 16, 2012 at 08:58 PM (#4133457)
I don't remember hearing Cohen mention him either.
   12. AJMcCringleberry Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4133460)
Alright, Ike!
   13. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4133461)
IKE TELLING ME TO SHUT THE HELL UP!
   14. Yonder Alonso in misguided trousers (cardinal) Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:00 PM (#4133463)
Ike! "Not hit well, but well placed", as DMB always says. It's a hit, that's the main thing.
   15. AJMcCringleberry Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:05 PM (#4133467)
Nice job by Nickeas to get the squeeze down.
   16. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:05 PM (#4133468)
The TV team loves that, I was hoping for a bigger inning.
   17. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:11 PM (#4133475)
I'm sorry, I know a HR-saving catch is special, but you should have had that one, Duda.
   18. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:20 PM (#4133484)
Wow, Parnell has really done the job here in the early going. 17 Ks and 3 BB - that's just fantastic.
   19. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:32 PM (#4133509)
Ugh.

Bullpen killing us, as usual.
   20. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:34 PM (#4133515)
After seeing Ramirez go multiple innings yesterday, would have liked to have seen Parnell get the same shot tonight.
   21. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:36 PM (#4133518)
I rarely say this. but I don't think we can win this game.
   22. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:37 PM (#4133521)
Chapman and Marshall are tough to come back against. Carrasco has a chance to put it out of reach, too.
   23. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:39 PM (#4133523)
How Parnell gets so little work and Carrasco keeps getting dragged in is a ####### mystery.
   24. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:40 PM (#4133524)
I wrote that BEFORE the ####### HR.
   25. AJMcCringleberry Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:40 PM (#4133528)
This game turned to #### in a hurry.
   26. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:40 PM (#4133529)
Can we call up somebody, anybody to replace Carrasco? Maybe Josh Edgin?
   27. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:42 PM (#4133534)
Well, 23 is totally wrong, IP-wise

Then again, any innings pitched by DJ Carrasco approach infinity.
   28. Adam Starblind Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:43 PM (#4133537)
Carrasco needs to be released.
   29. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:45 PM (#4133543)
I think it's fine that Keith is down on the front row but I don't like that camera angle for a live pitch.
   30. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:48 PM (#4133548)
Is Carrasco coming back in? Looked like he was taking his jacket off
   31. Lassus Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:49 PM (#4133550)
I blame Mike Nickeas for this disaster. He popped out, then we gave away an out for a piddling run, and then Santana was up.
   32. Elvis Posted: May 16, 2012 at 09:50 PM (#4133552)
I'll be glad to see Thole come back.
