It's Restovich. It was probably a tough call, but it's tough to replace a guy who blows in as many phases of the game as Bynum does.

Wait, it's Restovich!? How many outfielders do we have on the roster? Mabry's our backup first baseman and Hairston's actually been starting a fair bit at 2nd base. They can't seriously plan on ever putting Bynum back in the outfield ever again, can they? Can Theriot play the outfield? If not, what on Earth is the point?
Restovich doesn't play any middle infield positions. Removing Bynum limits Dusty's ability to make that key 5th double switch to get the 4th SS into the game.
Plus, everyone knows that speed wins. That's why we blew out San Diego the other night with the speed lineup. Restovich, he slow.
That's like 2 days in a row with multiple runs. Of course, we got #####-slapped both days, but still. Moral victory.
Seriously, at this point I'm rooting for about 17 losses in a row. If the team bops around 3-5 games under .500 all year nothing will change. We need to hit rock bottom.

More middle infielders, less power.
It's worked so far!!

I can't believe Hendry hasn't made a deal for "Super Joe" McEwing yet.
It was probably a tough call, but it's tough to replace a guy who blows in as many phases of the game as Bynum does.
During one game in SD, I think it was Saturday, Bynum was up in a bunting situation. All I could think was, "If this guy can't get down a bunt, there's no reason for him to be in the Big Leagues." I bring this up because even though he didn't exactly say it, I'm positive Santo was thinking the same thing. Of course Bynum failed to get down the bunt, and Santo sputtered and stammered about how they're all trying too hard.
Theriot --- meh
